The artists in Keith Urban’s age group are getting back to the roots and having radio success with it. So, by going into this direction…he’ll probably last longer on country radio than most of his peers who have been around a while.

The Australian country star touches on everything from reggae-country, Eighties dance-rock, lite-FM power ballads, and muscular Top 40 on an album that manages to interpolate melodies and riffs from both Merle Haggard and Coldplay. The lead-in to the release of Graffiti U, however, has not (at least by the singer’s own exceptional standards) been an auspicious one. And all the blindly loyal fans makes me pause before I admit I listen to country music to people who think its lame.

As many have said, Texas Time does seem to pay homage to Don Williams Tulsa Time - same "flavour" with a modern twist. When the most country sounding song on an album is a tune penned by Ed Sheeran (“Parallel Line”), you’ve got problems.

does it seem remotely fair to you that keith urban’s music should get exposure on a country station while Alan Jackson , George Strait , Joe Nichols and countless other ACTUAL country singers can’t ? Some may laugh even at this, but I wish the Keith Urban who made Golden Road would come back as a mid-life crisis!

VG/EX means that the item's sleeve is in Very Good condition and the disc is in Excellent condition.

Obviously it’s the first letter of my last name, but I liked that when you say it, it’s also the word ‘You. Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. On his latest, Urban never sounds less convincing than when he’s trying to create three-dimensional female characters, whether on the forced Coachella dream sequence “Drop Top” or “Gemini,” a maddeningly reductive character sketch that culminates with Urban singing: “She’s a maniac in the bed/But a brainiac in her head. It reached number 12 on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart, his first single to miss the top 10 since his 1999 hit " It's a Love Thing".There are so many amazingly gifted country-music dedicated unknowns struggling to be ” keepers of the flame ” who have far better material than we’ve ever heard from the KU camp .
